Popular pop music duo, Tunde Baiyewu and Paul Tucker of the Lighthouse Family are set to return to limelight with a planned UK music tour starting in February 2011. Lighthouse Family became popular in the mid 1990s after the release of hit album “ocean drive” in 1995, containing one of their most popular tracks; “Lifted”. “High”, their most successful single, contained in their second album “Postcard from Heaven”(released in 1997) reached No. 1 on the Australian singles chart and was also on the top 10 list in various countries including UK, Switzerland, Austria and New Zealand. Other hit tracks on album released by the duo include “Ocean Drive” and “Free”.

Tunde Baiyewu, a UK born vocalist of Nigerian descent met keyboard player Paul Tucker in Newcastle, UK while both of them were studying at university. They formed the Lighthouse Family in 1993 and were active throughout the late 1990s into early 2000s. They began withdrawing their appearance on stage in 2003 and have remained relatively silent for the next 8 years with Tunde, pursuing a solo career and Paul forming a new band; The Orange Light. The duo stated they were reforming the Lighthouse Family with a planned tour starting in Dublin on the 26th of February and Belfast on the 27th of February 2011. The tour would take them to London, Newcastle, Manchester and other cities within the UK.
